- We enjoy being a part of changing this world into a more equal partnership of women being involved in a much more equal footing of sportswear going on into the future. Women’s Sport Apparel is going to be a force. And I’m sure that we have not heard the last thing from this special lady who is pioneering the way for women everywhere.
There are surprisingly few women-owned companies in the Womens Sport Apparel industry. There weren’t many female owners of athletic gear firms found when a search for them was conducted. The clothes are all cut without consideration for the requirements or wishes of women, only to fit men. An energized woman becomes involved. She recognizes a genuine need and takes action to address it. She combines courage and an arsenal of expertise from years of dancing, taking her from the dance studio to the fashion show floor. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, one thing leads to another, and she is off to the races.
Dance Studio to Fashion Studio:
It all began with ballet and dancing. Sports of all sorts and types were her life. If it was going to be competitive, she was in. She began her career as a pro-team dancer for the NBA. She is given the dancing outfit that she needs to wear. It was awkward to wear, scratchy, and lacked shape. They could at least have a professional outfit—here she was, a professional dancer working for a professional team. This crude way of doing things must end. She thus took action and launched her company.
That was the catalyst for her to start making Women’s Sport Apparel. Women all over the world had the right and privilege to wear this form-fitting, comfortable, and sexy sportswear wherever they were. She has revolutionized the world of sportswear for the female form, and Sports Teams are taking notice. One in particular caught my attention. The Washington State University Cougars, my alma mater, are one of those teams!!! Kool Logo!!!
An entrepreneur who loves sports is my kind of woman. Her designs only show the beauty of the female form without making it to flashy. She has extensive research in this area with her 25 years of dance and ballet training. So take a risk; I’m sure you’ll be surprised with what you find.
