Financial Freedom for All is a very patriotic-sounding theme, so here you go. This is actually easier than you would believe. I can only talk about the different types of businesses I have been in, but the concept is always the same: who wants it more? From an early age, there was always one person I was competing against: me! I ended up always competing against a whole slew of others, but I was just concerned about one—you got it—me! This sounds a little conceited, but it is true. I never cared about what anybody else was doing; I was just worried about what I was doing.
When I went to college, I knew I wasn’t like the other kids, and at first this bothered me, but I quickly adapted. You see, I knew the difference between right and wrong and tried to succeed whenever I could. I also knew that I liked to help the less fortunate, so with those principles in life, I struck out on my own.
Financial Freedom for All vs The Army:
I vote that the Army experiences a positive experience all things considered, even though they pay their people very little. The experiences and training of the body and mind are invaluable when it comes to everyday things. I was enlisted and stationed in Fort Bragg, SC, with the 82nd Airborne. Later, I was transferred to Vicenza, Italy, which is in the northern part of the country.
Being Stationed here was a joy. We got to go to the Northern Alps for cold-weather training. And a place in Graffervhnere, Germany, for a jump into a place called Snake DZ. Get to go jumping out of Hot Air Balloons in Denmark. We got to be part of Operation Market Garden, which had a bunch of countries involved. We got to jump with the Russians that day, which was very interesting. All in all, the Army was good for the Mind and Soul.
Truck Driver was a Positive Experience:
The Truck Driver’s experience was also positive for the pocketbook. Moving people from point A to point B was a different experience but a satisfying one. You see, I quickly became one of the top drivers with some of the fewest breaks or claims out there. You know that this was one of the most satisfying jobs that I could have done. Except for me, I never got to see anyone unless I took a trip to their State. So, good for the pocketbook, but not satisfying.
A Real Estate Learning Experience:
It was all about making enough money to be able to give back in the beginning, and I was good at it. In the beginning of my financial career, I was able to help a lot of people out. I was sponsoring all sorts of charity events, and I sat on about five boards of directors. But I was still missing out on the real reason, and I never knew what that reason was.
Financial Freedom for All Takes A Hit:
Currently, I’m the Broker of Record for a Real Estate Firm in Myrtle Beach, SC. I had my fingers in, or should I say, I was Licensed in, NC, SC, GA, VA, and WV. I was doing great with my Real Estate career and my ownership of a Real Estate Firm. Which had about 225 agents in it, where I was training and helping others to be great at what we did. I was making money, and I was actively sitting on what I deemed to be some great Charity Boards.
That is when I forgot to take good care of myself, and the whole thing came crumbling down. I had a major heart attack, followed up by a double bypass, which sidelined me for good. Then I had to sell my company and take it easy for six months, which I, of course, could not do. Anyway, I moved to Richmond, VA, took a job that was easier, being in charge of 78 agents, and then started again.
I started with their filing system, which was still paper, and I upgraded it to paperless files, which went smoothly. I was interviewing an agent when I could not think about anything. I drove to the ER room, and I really don’t remember the trip, but I made it. Then I forgot. The next couple of days, I woke up to a doctor telling me that I needed to go to physical therapy. The rest of the four years have gone by in the only way I can describe them: as a blur. Then, in October of last year (2022), I seemed to get out of this brain fog, for lack of a better term.
Recovery Takes More Time But That Is Life:
So, here is what I’ve learned on this journey through life: In business, you can do what makes you money. But don’t forget that what you have to do should make you money again and again, forever, as long as you feed the system. This has been hard to grasp, but I have tried with the help of Stacy, my Instructor. She has been tirelessly pushing me until I got it, which was pretty recent. You see, I have been slowly getting better at writing. Not to mention, in my words, Exedra, and thank goodness for spell check. Anyway, I recently made a breakthrough and figured I would apply for Google AdSense and see how I did. It came back saying that it did not like the amount of good content, so I am writing this page.
I Finally Get It:
It took me some time before I knew what Financial Freedom for All, truly meant for me. It probably means something else to somebody else, but for me, this is what it means. That I work hard and make enough to be able to recreate what I have into what someone else can have. It is much more of an attainable goal in life, at least for me, when I think of it in those terms. Before, it was about attaining wealth so that I could help others in their lives through good works. But this is more satisfying for me because it will help others obtain the same thing as me. Wealth, and then they help someone else achieve the same thing, and so on.
Thanks to Rory and Stacy for ultimately opening my eyes to this fact. I was a little slow on the uptick, but when my eyes were all the way opened, wow! I think that I’m clear enough to say that I will strive to bring as many people into your system as possible. Financial Freedom for All is now attainable for everyone with a little hard work and some patience in the system.
